Student Ambassador (Queen's University Belfast)

Passionate about tackling injustice? Determined to use your voice to bring about change for children? Want to develop your skills in influencing?

Then apply to join our team of student ambassadors across universities in the UK who share our commitment to the rights of children, here, and around the world. As a Save the Children Student Ambassador, you’ll lead the way in raising awareness at your university about key issues that affect children – from conflict to poverty to climate change. And you’ll be using your voice to influence decision makers to stand up for children.

From approaching your MP to engaging students and making noise about our campaigns, there’ll never be a dull moment! You’ll partner up with another ambassador at your university to work together and pioneer this brand new programme. You’ll also get the opportunity to link up with other student ambassadors across the UK, build combined campaigns across your universities, and develop your network.

You don't need any specialist knowledge. You just need to be keen to learn about the issues we’re campaigning on and how others can get involved (and be at least 18 years old). If you've got the energy and enthusiasm, we've got loads of resources and back-up. You'll even have your own Save the Children expert to manage and support you. It’s a fantastic development opportunity.

We expect students to commit a few hours a week to this role during the academic year. This can be on the evenings or weekends and fit around your life and academic commitments.

As a Student Ambassador, you’ll gain insight into issues affecting children and be trained up on how to run a successful campaign. So, if you’re looking to develop skills in leadership, influencing, communications and media, this could be right up your street!
