Shop Volunteer (Derby city Superstore)
Join Our Volunteer Team at Derby Save the Children Shop!
Be part of something exciting! Our newly revamped superstore is a high-energy, fast-paced shop filled with amazing pre-loved items at great prices. We’re looking for passionate volunteers to help us make a difference!
How You Can Get Involved
Volunteer as little or as much as you like—whether it’s a couple of hours or a regular shift, we’ll find a role that works for you.
Why Volunteer?
By joining us, you’ll help raise vital funds for children worldwide while giving second-hand treasures a new life. No experience? No problem! Full training provided.
What You’ll Do
- Sort and price stock
- Serve customers and handle sales
- Create eye-catching displays
- Keep the shop looking great
What happens next?
We also ask for two references. (Both referees should be people who are 18 years of age or older, and aren't related to you. One referee should be someone you know from a formal setting - work, school, volunteering, a faith leader, social or youth worker, etc.)
After you’ve filled in an application, we will invite you for a Trial shift. A Trial Shift is an opportunity to visit the shop, meet some of our existing volunteers and have a go at some of the tasks that you would be supporting with as a shop volunteer in an informal and supportive setting- to see if the role feels right for you.
How you’ll hear about your application
Once you’ve applied, you’ll receive notifications to the email address you apply with. Sometimes the emails we send about your application go into junk folders. We will keep in touch with you through an email address ending in @save-the-children.goassemble.com, so do check your junk folder for confirmation of your application and other messages from us.
Safeguarding at Save the Children
