Shop Campaigner (Westbourne Grove)

Passionate about peace? Believe in the power of fashion to save lives? In an exciting new initiative, our high street shops are teaming up with our campaigning wizards at our London HQ, to become a force to be reckoned with. Our aim? Getting peace for the 11 million children who are caught up in a brutal war in Yemen.

Before being dispatched to the shop floor, you’ll be introduced by the experts to the humanitarian crisis in Yemen and find out what we’re doing to help the children who live there. You’ll get an insight into both the worlds of campaigning and retail – all the while knowing you’re doing something amazing for some of the most marginalised children in the world.

You’ll be volunteering in our Mary’s Living and Giving shop in Westbourne Grove. Our boutique shops are filled with gorgeous vintage and designer pieces and are fantastic places to visit and volunteer. These shops were set up with retail expert Mary Portas, and every item donated helps children around the world survive and thrive.

You’ll be talking to customers about the campaign (don't worry, we'll show you how), and asking them to take simple actions like writing a message of peace, that’ll make a real difference. You’ll help shop volunteers to do the same, by building their knowledge of the campaign.

There’s bag-loads of room for creativity too. From helping the shop team put up window displays to writing messages on dressing room mirrors, taking photos and using social media to spread the word, and inviting the local community to join in. All to send an important message: that kindness never goes out of fashion. You’ll get a real kick out of talking to our customers about this vital campaign and getting them involved.

We'll tell you all about the campaign and what to do. The campaign will be live between 4th February – 15th March, and during this six-week period it would be great if you could commit two or three hours a week.
