Branch Treasurer (Kimbolton Branch)

Opportunity image

As Branch Treasurer you’ll be volunteering with other branch members who meet regularly to plan how to raise funds and awareness of Save the Children in your local community. The role of the Treasurer is vitally important to make sure that all money raised is carefully and accurately recorded. You’ll keep the branch/group updated on the account, with details of money raised and spent. You’ll be looking after the branch finances - from setting up a float for an event to making sure all money is accounted for. But don’t think this is a role for an accountant. If you can manage your own money, you can do this. It’s just about being organised and accurate, writing down what’s come in and what’s gone out. You’ll need to keep receipts, payments, invoices etc of course but the annual report is just a case of totting everything up - nothing complex here! We’d hope that as Branch Treasurer you’d also be keen to join in all of the branch activities, actually raising the funds, but that’s up to you. You’d certainly gain a lot of fun and interest if you did. Please note - you need to be at least 18 years old to apply for this role.
