Collection Team Member (Wimbledon)
Available from 2 July 2018 to 14 July 2018
Every July Wimbledon attracts over 500,000 tennis loving fans and that's a lot of people with a lot of loose change. There's always a great atmosphere and it's great fun too. Wimbledon is running between 2 - 15 July this year so there's plenty of shifts going for you to sign up to.
This is a great role to volunteer without any long-term commitment. You'll get all the info you need in a briefing. The meeting point for all slots is our base in Car park 10. It will be clearly branded with a bright red gazebo and flags. On arrival you'll be met by a Lead Save the Children volunteer who will support you throughout your slot. At the end of your shift you'll return to the meeting point and count the money you've collected and give it to your Lead Volunteer.
You won't just be standing around though. You'll also be telling people about Save the Children (if they're interested). We'll make sure you have the important facts at your fingertips to help you answer the basic questions that members of the public may have. What's really important though is that you're friendly and approachable.
So, if you're over 18 and want to help collect donations, just click on Apply and sign up for a shift (or two!).
