Christmas Jumper Day Promoter (Islington)

We've figured out that sometimes the best way to tackle a serious problem is to do something really silly. So, on Friday 15 December, this year's Christmas Jumper Day, get the fairy lights and baubles, snowmen and Christmas trees. We want it all – on a jumper!

People in schools, homes and offices everywhere will be wearing a woolly to help solve some very serious problems. By donating just £2 each (£1 for schools and youth groups), everyone taking part will help save children's lives around the world. What do we need you to do? We need volunteers to help us spread the silly and to get others excited about Christmas Jumper Day! You’ll be speaking to local community groups and small businesses to promote Christmas Jumper Day, inspiring as much support as possible. Helping to keep supporters on track to hold successful events and raise funds.

It’ll help if you’re confident and outgoing as you’ll be getting supporters excited about Christmas Jumper Day. Being infectiously enthusiastic and really well organised will be a bonus. You don't need to be ace at social media or a marketing professional - just able to use the internet and email.

Your Community Volunteering Manager is only a phonecall away to offer you support and you can tell them how your promoting and plans are going.

We want to make sure you have enough time to get as many people as you can to wear Christmas jumpers, so, we’re looking to start you as soon as possible. It’s only for a short period and the opportunity finishes before Christmas, giving you time to get all your success-stories written up. We appreciate how busy life is so what’s great about this role is you can fit it around your other commitments.

This is such a great role for anyone over 18 years old wanting to volunteer in the evenings or weekends, at a time to suit you. Volunteering that fits around your life!
