Den Day Promoter (Putney)
Available from 15 February 2017 to 30 June 2017
Following on from our successful Den Days in 2015 and 2016 we are holding another one in schools on Friday 16 June. Schools and youth groups can build dens together on the day, however they like, and raise money to help give more children around the world a safe place to shelter. As a Den Day Promoter you will be making the most of your local connections to promote Den Day. You'll be distributing leaflets and posters in your community to advertise, promote and raise awareness. You'll be calling schools and youth clubs to talk about Den Day and encourage them to hold an event. For schools and youth clubs that request them, you'll be organising Speakers to go in to talk about Den Day and Save the Children. Speakers can inspire them by helping students understand the impact of their fundraising and explain how they can build dens out of everyday materials. Speakers will be visiting schools and youth clubs and you can share their stories on our Facebook group. This is a time-limited role starting as soon as you can to the end of June. We're asking if you can commit to about 10 hours a week. You can fit your volunteering around your life and responsibilities during the week, evenings and weekends. So, if you want to help to promote Den Day, to encourage your community to build shelters and raise money that will change lives, then this is the role for you.
